Inspired by Benji B's recent (and surprisingly good!) soundtrack special, I'm checking out Giorgio Moroder's 1977 classic From Here to Eternity. Almost 40 years on, this almost still sounds super fresh and HIGHLY danceable...even if you're just sitting in your cubicle. Let's gooooo!

Sorry. I've been slow on the music front, but better late than never, eh?
- Frank Ocean - Channel Orange - kinda 'nuff said. Last year from summer onwards belonged to this dude.
- Jessie Ware - Devotion - understated and beautiful. I think she is gonna catch her stride stateside this year, but I was up on her from last year due to that excellent Disclosure remix. While not on the album, Valentine, her 2011 track with SBTRKT collaborator Sampha (who I LOVE!) has been on heavy rotation round these parts as of late.
- Jack White - Blunderbuss - surprised this didn't get more accolades. I literally had difficulty turning it off for much of the year. Rocks super hard!
- Santigold - Master of My Make Believe - this album got in by a hair. There is something about Santi that I find to be...I don't want to say false...but hmm, I feel like she is holding back in a lot of ways. I hope her best is yet to come, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't listen to this album a fair amount over the past year.
